It’s the most wonderful time of the year… And that time is toddy time! So what is a hot toddy you ask? Well, simply put, it’s a delightful cocktail made up of a base spirit (usually whiskey, brandy or rum), hot water and honey or sugar of some sort. In this case, we are utilizing maple syrup as our sugar.
This drink is so simple to make, tastes absolutely delicious and be more diverse than most give it credit. One thing I should note here is that a toddy mug is not needed to enjoy a hot toddy. If a toddy mug isn’t handy, any old coffee mug will do! So, basically what I am saying here is that there are no excuses why you can’t enjoy a hot toddy.
